New Public Works Facility

Project Description: Kutztown Borough, Carbon County, PA will receive single prime bids online via the PennBid Program (www.PennBid.net) , until 11:00 AM, prevailing time on Tuesday June 3, 2025 for the construction of its “New Public Works Facility” Project to be located at 45 Railroad Street, Kutztown, PA. All bids will be publicly opened and posted.
The project will be awarded under one (1) Prime Contract. Plans, specifications, information for bidders and forms for proposals are available at no cost on PennBid (www.pennbid.net)
A Mandatory Pre-Bid Meeting shall take place at 10:00 AM Tuesday, May 20th at the project site. Attendance at this meeting is required.
Bids must be submitted electronically via the PennBid Program on the forms furnished by the Owner and must be accompanied by a certified check or bid bond issued by a Surety licensed to conduct business in the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania, in the amount of at least five percent (5%) of the total price bid made payable to the Owner. Certified checks to be submitted to the office of the Borough.
The successful Bidder will be required to furnish and pay for satisfactory Performance and Payment Bonds, each in the amount of one hundred percent (100%) of the Contract Price with a corporate surety approved by the Owner.
The Bidder's attention is called to the fact that this project is governed by The Borough Code of the State of Pennsylvania and that various State labor and administrative requirements apply, as noted in the Bid Documents, including the requirement that all wages paid are consistent with the Pennsylvania prevailing wage structure.

Award of Contract will be to the lowest responsible bidder, but the Kutztown Borough reserves the unqualified right to reject any or all bids and to waive any informalities in awarding the contract in the best interest of Kutztown Borough.
