Light Rail Train (LRT) Operator Training Simulator
Contract Number 25P049
The Metropolitan Council is soliciting proposals from qualified firms to provide, install, and
support an LRT Training Simulator. The system must replicate Metro Transit's real world
operating environment, including mainline alignment, yards, facilities, and related operational
features operators may encounter. The anticipated schedule for this procurement is as follows:
RFP Issue Date May 12, 2026
Pre-Proposal Meeting June 3, 2026, at 10:30 AM CT
Questions Due June 5, 2026
Proposals Due June 18, 2026, at 2:00 PM CT
Award August 2026
