Project Description: NOTICE TO BIDDERS
NETHER PROVIDENCE TOWNSHIP
Online sealed bids for the 2026 Road Resurfacing Project will be received by Nether Providence Township online via the PennBid Program at https://pennbid.bonfirehub.com until 10:00 AM, on March 19, 2026. All bids will be publicly read aloud at the Nether Providence Commissioners' Meeting on March 26, 2026 at 7:30 PM. Major items include 28,340 square yards of milling, 2520 square yards of base/ trench repair and 2,930 tons of wearing course.
All Bid Documents, Construction Plans and Specifications are available online via the PennBid Program at https://pennbid.bonfirehub.com at no cost to prospective bidders. The successful bidder, who is awarded the contract, will be required to pay Penn Bid Program a fee of¼% of the contract award value. There is a minimum award fee of $150.00 and a maximum of $6,000.00. Bidders must confirm the fees associated with bidding through PennBid and the successful bidder is responsible for the fees associated with the awarded bid.
A bid bond in the amount of ten percent (10%) of the total bid, made payable to Nether Providence Township, must accompany each bid.
Attention of bidders is called to all of the requirements contained in this bid packet, particularly to the PA Prevailing Wage Rates, various insurance requirements, Public Works Employment Verification, various equal opportunity provisions, the requirement for a payment bond and performance bond for 100% of the contract price and a one-year maintenance bond for 10% of the contract price.
The Township of Nether Providence reserves the right to accept or reject any or all bids thereof, and waive any informalities in the bidding, as they deem in the interest of the Township.
