Description

The Board of Commissioners of Glynn County, Georgia (¿the Owner¿) seeks proposals from interested qualified firms to replace the sod at Neptune Park including all the details outlined and required in the scope of work section.

Background
Neptune Park is located at 550 Beachview Drive, St. Simons Island, Georgia, 31522. Neptune Park, sometimes referred to as the St. Simons Island Casin
o, is located on the southern tip of St. Simons Island in Pier Village. This oceanfront park is home to many annual events throughout the year including Memorial Day's Taps at Twilight, the 4th of July Celebration, concerts in the park, and Veterans Day Ceremony. The park offers an oceanfront walking path, two playgrounds, a large lawn, picnic area with grills, memorial benches that overlook the ocean, and majestic trees. Neptune Park is one of the most visited parks in Glynn County and is a popular tourist destination year-round. The grounds are also used for private weddings and local school field days.

Neptune Park is a highly visible area with thousands and thousands of people visiting it annually. As such, the expectation is that the grounds and grass are lush and green, free of invasive weeds and insects, and hearty enough to endure heavy use and the saltwater environment.
