NCCU Informal Contractor Outreach 2026

NCCU is interested in identifying firms to bid on informal construction projects whose anticipated construction cost is less than $500,000. Bids will be solicited by contractor groups on a rotating basis for individual projects defined by a statement of work issued by NCCU. Qualified, licensed contractors are needed for: - General Construction - Electrical - Mechanical - Plumbing - Hazardous Materials/Asbestos Removal - Roofing Additional needs are anticipated requiring specialized skills and NCCU would like to identify potential firms interested in bidding in these areas, as well. Projects requiring specialized skills will be solicited by invitation, based on the nature of the required work. - Concrete and masonry - Fire protection - Paving - Landscaping Interested firms should submit: - Letter of interest - Three project examples - Copy of contractor's license - Evidence of state minimum required liability insurance coverage and safety experience modification rating (certificate of insurance including builder's risk will be required as individual projects are awarded) - Documentation of fines, violations, or citations within the last five years - Historically Underutilized Business (HUB) plan Submissions are limited to 10 - 8 1/2 x 11 sheets, front-and-back, without links to external websites or downloadable content.
