Natural Resources Mobile Nature Center

Ohio is a state blessed with an abundance of natural beauty, from rolling hills to green forests and even incredible waterfalls. ODNR is seeking a specialty vehicle company to produce a specialty vehicle with an overall length of 33’-34’ and a 24’ aluminum custom body with one (1) slide-out on a Ford F750 truck chassis (or similar), including a roof top AC unit and bay installed generator, filled with exhibits and displays highlighting Ohio’s natural spaces and wildlife to encourage a diverse audience to visit Ohio’s great outdoors.

ODNR is entrusted with a diverse set of responsibilities around the state that impact the quality of life for Ohioans, including managing state parks, forests and natural areas, conserving habitats as well as fish and wildlife species, performing scientific research, and regulating areas of infrastructure and industry. ODNR takes pride in carrying out our mission to ensure a balance between the wise use and protection of our natural resources for the benefit of all.

ODNR provides interactive and educational opportunities to children and families across Ohio. Programs take place at an array of venues including state parks, forests, nature preserves, schools, community events, etc.

The mobile nature center will give ODNR an effective way to reach urban youth and school systems that have financial and staffing constraints to facilitate field trips. ODNR wants to meet people where they are.
