Title: Natural Grass to Artificial Turf Athletic Field Conversion
Addenda: 1
Release Date: 2/5/2026
Due Date: 3/26/2026
The City seeks to convert one existing natural grass athletic field to a high-performance artificial turf system to address ongoing maintenance challenges caused by heavy field usage and to provide consistent, year-round playability. The project will deliver a full-service, turn-key solution for the Lake Felter Park Multi-Purpose Field, located at 1750 Johns Lake Rd., Clermont, FL 34711.
The selected respondent will be responsible for all aspects of the project, including design, engineering, demolition, site preparation, drainage improvements, and installation of a manufacturer-approved slit-film/monofilament synthetic turf system. The scope of work includes infill materials, field markings, and all associated components necessary to deliver a complete, ready-for-play field. All installation work shall be performed under the supervision of a manufacturer-certified installer supervisor with a minimum of five (5) years of experience in synthetic turf installations. Supervisory personnel must be certified in writing by the turf manufacturer as competent in the installation of the specified turf system, including seam sewing and proper infill placement.
Upon completion, the field shall meet the manufacturer’s specifications for performance, safety, and durability and shall be delivered with a minimum eight (8)-year manufacturer’s warranty and a two (2)-year installation warranty. The completed project will result in a long-lasting, low-maintenance athletic field capable of supporting high volumes of use while reducing downtime associated with repairs and weather-related closures.
