Title: Natural Grass to Artificial Turf Athletic Field Conversion
Addenda: 0
Release Date: 9/9/2025
Due Date: 10/16/2025
The City seeks to convert four existing natural grass athletic fields to high-performance artificial turf to address ongoing maintenance challenges caused by heavy field usage and to provide consistent, year-round playability.
The project will deliver a full-service, turn-key solution to Lake Felter Park Multi-Purpose Field. The park address is 1750 Johns Lk Rd., Clermont, FL 34711.
The selected respondent will be responsible for design, engineering, demolition, site preparation, drainage improvements, and installation of a manufacturer-approved slit-film/monofilament turf system, including infill, field markings, and all associated components.
All installation work will be performed under the supervision of a manufacturer-certified installer supervisor with a minimum of five (5) years’ experience in synthetic turf installations. Supervisory personnel must be certified, in writing, by the turf manufacturer as competent in the installation of the specified turf material, including sewing seams and proper infill placement.
Upon completion, each field will meet the manufacturer’s specifications for performance, safety, and durability, and will be delivered with a minimum eight (8) year manufacturer’s warranty and two (2) year installation warranty. The project will result in long-lasting, low-maintenance fields capable of supporting high volumes of athletic activity while reducing downtime for repairs and weather-related closures.
Grass fields have been difficult to maintain at a high standard due to heavy usage.
