NATO Request for Information: Ballistic Missile Defense (BMD) Real Time (RT) System

The NATO Communications and Information Agency (NCIA) has issued a Request for Information (RFI) to identify potential sources and gather information regarding industry capabilities to support the provision of the Ballistic Missile Defense (BMD) Real Time (RT) component of the NATO BMD capability.

The purpose of this RFI is to obtain industry views and to determine the feasibility to procure Off-The-Shelf products, to identify potential solutions, possible suppliers providing the complete capability, or products delivering a subset of the capability that could be integrated into a modularized data centric architecture.

Responses to this RFI will help NCIA’s acquisition planning in refining requirements, identifying capabilities, and shaping the strategy for any future solicitation.

This RFI is issued solely for informational purposes and does not constitute a Request for Proposal, Request for Quotation, or Invitation for Bid.

Responses should be submitted using the attached Excel document. The email address for submitting your responses to NCIA is provided in the RFP attachment.

Responses are to be submitted no later than 1:00 pm CET on 30 September 2025.

NCIA is hosting an industry event to present additional programmatic and technical aspects of the project, and, to the extent possible, answer questions related to this RFI. NCIA has tentatively scheduled this event on or about the week of 15 September 2025 and intends to hold it in a virtual format to reach a wider audience.

NCIA intends to allow participation from responders who missed the original 13 August deadline to register for the Industry Event planned in September. Any industrial entity that is located in a NATO nation and is interested in participating in this industry event is kindly requested to notify its interest by email to the address indicated in the RFP by stating the name of the firm, telephone number, e-mail address, and company POC. Firms are kindly requested to express their interest as soon as practicable.
