QUESTIONS/ANSWERS:
Q1: The dumpster enclosure detail has 2 different footing details: a monolithic footing with 4 #5 rebar and a
spread footing with 2 #5 rebar. Which one is it?
A1: The spread footing is for the enclosure walls. The monolithic footing is a thickened edge on the
dumpster slab. The intent of the detail is to show a reinforced slab with thickened edge within the
dumpster enclosure. This detail will be revised and reissued for construction showing ½” preformed
expansion joint material between the wall and slab. For clarification, concrete and steel for both footings
should be included in the lump sum bid item for the dumpster enclosure.
Q2: Why isn’t there a bid line item for the importing of the fill dirt?
A2: Fill material shall be included in the Excavation and Embankment bid item which shall include
regular excavation, borrow excavation, subsoil excavation, lateral ditch excavation, channel excavation,
embankment, offsite borrow, and grading, includes hauling, removal and off-site legal disposal or onsite
utilization of all materials, including structures, abandoned utilities, and obstructions, placing and
compacting of all materials, furnishing borrow material, final dressing, and all items of work described
herein. Refer to the Excavation and Embankment Specification.

Please clarify.
A3: The Geoweb and Sod were provided as an option to the shell, but will not be used. Please Bid
6-inches of bank run shell over 12-inches of stabilized subgrade.

The scale is 1” = 30’ as shown by the north arrow. This is for full size (Arch D size, 24x36) sheets printed
to scale.
Q8: Please consider adding a bid item for Mulch per square feet as per the bid documents.
A8: A line item with an arbitrary quantity of mulch has been added for bid pricing. Please see revised Bid
Form attached. The quantity to be paid under this section shall be the area in square feet of mulch,
measured in place, completed, and accepted. The cost shall include the material, delivery of material,
labor, tools, equipment needed for mulch.
Q9: Is there a required Gopher Tortoise Study to be conducted?
A9: Yes, the County will handle the inspection and any relocation that may need to happen.
