The Town of Amherst invites sealed bids for the procurement of the installation of a concrete walkway, ramp, and landing at the Munson Library. Invitation for Bids may be obtained online at
www.amherstma.gov/bids
.
An optional Pre-Bid conference will be held on May 28, 2025 at 10am at the Munson Library - 1046 South East Street. All bidders are invited to attend.
Bids shall be submitted no later than 2:00 p.m. on June 05, 2025, to the Town of Amherst’s Accountant’s Office where the bids will be publicly opened and recorded at that time.
The Town of Amherst reserves the right to reject any and all bids in whole or in part, and to waive informalities, when at its sole discretion is deemed to be in the best interests of the Town and to the extent permitted by law.

Qualifications:
|
|
Firm must have at least five (5) years of experience and a proven track record of high quality, professional work in the installation of concrete walkways and ramps, drainage systems, and metal work.
Firm must have three (3) references who can document his or her successful completion of projects in the State of Massachusetts.

|
Special Requirements:
|
|
All Concrete sidewalks, driveways, curb ramps, detectable warning panels and crosswalks shall be installed in accordance with the most recent Massachusetts Architectural Access Board (A.A.B.) and A.D.A. Accessibility Guidelines. In case of a conflict, the more stringent requirement shall be followed.
