Municipal Solid Waste Services, City Project 2023-10-M

The Mayor and City Council of Cumberland, Maryland are soliciting bids for the project:

MUNICIPAL SOLID WASTE SERVICES: HAULING SERVICES (CURBSIDE GARBAGE/RECYCLING COLLECTION), DISPOSAL SERVICES (LANDFILL/TRANSFER FACILITY TIPPING-FEES), AND MUNICIPAL DUMPSTER SERVICES

CITY PROJECT NO. 2023-10-M

Completed bids shall be submitted to the City of Cumberland’s online solicitation website, until but not after 2:00 p.m., local time, on 2/5/2025.  All Bids will be virtually released at 2:00 p.m. on that date and available to view on the website. Released bid information does not constitute any award has been made.

This project includes:

Municipal Solid Waste Services for the City of Cumberland which include the following responsibilities: municipal curbside solid waste & recycling, landfill services for curbside municipal solid waste, and municipal dumpsters service.

A "Mandatory PREBID SESSION” for the purpose of answering or obtaining answers to questions of parties interested in performing the work, relative to construction details, will be conducted at 11:00 a.m. on 1/8/2025 at the City Hall Council Chambers, City Hall - 2nd Floor, 57 N. Liberty Street, Cumberland, MD 21502.

A Proposal Guaranty (Bond or Certified Check) in the amount of at least 5% of the total bid shall be submitted with each bid.

The Mayor and City Council reserve the right to waive any technicalities and to reject any or all bids, and to accept any or all proposals which in their judgment is to the best interest of the City.

If your Proposal Guaranty is being mailed, please send to 57 N. Liberty Street, Cumberland, MD 21502. Guaranties need not arrive prior to bids being due, so long as proper proof of guaranty is provided with the completed online bid submission.
