The Municipal District of Lesser Slave River is accepting submissions from Environmental Consulting firms who are interested in prequalifying providing professional consulting services on bridge, road, sand/gravel pit operations, and various construction supervision services.

MD of Lesser Slave River is an ecologically diverse area with significant wildlife and unique vegetation with world class recreational opportunities. The MD is looking for a Professional Environmental Consultant with experience in multiple disciplines but also has local knowledge and experience in executing projects in the region.

The MD is looking for the following Environmental Consulting discipline capabilities (but not limited to):

Regulatory Applications
The Environmental Consultant can complete regulatory submissions for both provincial and federal environmental regulators to comply with legislation, such as (but not limited to):
• Water Act
• Public Lands Act
• Wildlife Act
• Historical Resources Act
• Environmental Protection and Enhancement Act
• Fisheries Act
• Migratory Birds Convention Act
• Species at Risk

Biophysical Assessments
• Short and Long-Term Environmental Monitoring
• Field surveys and programs with associated sampling methodology
• Ecological land classification (ELC)
• Environmental impact assessments (EIA)
• Reclamation / Remediation Plans
• GIS mapping and analysis

Data Management and Regulatory Submissions
• Field data collection with data collectors (tablets, etc.)
• Data analysis and interpretation
• Quality control / assurance
• General submissions, such as:

Wetland Assessment and Impact Reports (WAIR)
o Environmental Field Reports (EFR)
o Supplemental Information Requests (SIR)
o Pre-Disturbance Assessment Reports (PDAR)
