MS6-M26002 - 2026 Street Maintenance - Phase 2

The work to be done under this contract includes: Pavement maintenance at 4 locations including, but not limited to approximately 10,594 SY of Milling, 1787 Tons of Asphalt Surfacing, 875 SY of 8” and 10” Concrete Pavement (5k) to be overlaid, 4180 SY of 6”, 8” and 10” Concrete Pavement (5k), 467 SY of Sidewalks and Sidewalk Ramps, 5709 L.F. of Concrete Curb and Gutter, and Pavement Markings.

The following restrictions shall apply to the Contractor’s scheduling of the Work:

• Site 1 – Tomahawk Drive (Rock Fence Pl. to East End): There are no timing or phasing
  restrictions associated with the World Cup 2026 for Site 1.
• Sites 2 & 3 – 11th Street (Tenn. St. to Mass. St.), and Stewart Avenue (Fire Station to W. 21st
  St.) & W. 21 Street (Iowa St. to Stewart Ave.): There shall be no Work performed at Sites 2 & 3
  between May 16, 2026 through July 19, 2026. Any items of Work initiated at Sites 2 and/or 3 prior to
  May 16, 2026 shall be substantially completed and the site(s) shall be cleaned up and reopened to
  normal, unrestricted traffic patterns prior to May 15, 2026.
• Site 3 – Stewart Avenue (Fire Station to W. 21st St.) & W. 21 Street (Iowa St. to Stewart Ave.):
  The Contractor shall schedule the proposed Work at Site 3 to be performed and completed as
  soon as feasible after July 19, 2026 due to the presence of the Fire Station and the proximity
  of the Site 3 to the University of Kansas campus.
• Site 4 – W. 25th Street (Holcom Park to Iowa St.): There shall be no Work performed at Site 4
  prior to July 27, 2026.
