Morgan Creek Greenway Phase 1 Project

Sealed Bids will be received by the Town of Carrboro, Finance Department, Attention: Jane Bowden, Procurement Coordinator, 301 West Main Street, Carrboro, North Carolina 27510, until 3:00 p.m., on Thursday, December 18, 2025. All responsive bids will be publicly opened and read at that time, provided all requirements of G.S. 143-132 have been met.

The EL-4828A – Morgan Creek Greenway Phase 1 Project consists of approximately 0.5 miles of concrete paving, and 155 linear feet of structures, including clearing, grading, paving, structures, drainage, and erosion control.  The foregoing description shall not be construed as a complete description of all work required.

Complete plans, specifications and contract documents will be open for inspection in the offices of the Town of Carrboro Planning Department and Sungate Design Group, PA and on the Town of Carrboro bid postings webpage .

A mandatory pre-bid meeting will be held on Thursday, December 4, 2025, at 2:00 p.m. virtually via Microsoft Teams.  A meeting invite will be provided upon request.

It is the responsibility of the plan holders to completely understand and ackowledge addenda postings. The bid proposal must be accompanied by a Proposal Bond or a Certified Check payable to the Town of Carrboro in an amount equal to not less than five percent (5%) of the bid.

All bidders, at the time the bid proposal is submitted, shall be prequalified and listed on the NCDOT Directory of Transportation Firms. BIDS SUBMITTED BY CONTRACTORS WHO ARE NOT PREQUALIFIED BYTHE NCDOT WILL NOT BE ACCEPTED AND WILL BE REJECTED WITHOUT FURTHER CONSIDERATION. These bids will not be considered for award by the Town of Carrboro, and they will be returned to the bidder. Sub-contractors are required to be prequalified by the NCDOT prior to beginning work.
