MONTELLO STREET WATER TRANSMISSION MAIN REPLACEMENT
DPW-BID26-MONTELLO
This project is being Electronically Bid (E-Bid). All bids shall be submitted online at
www.Projectdog.com until 11:00 AM, March 12, 2026. Hard copy bids will not be accepted by the City
of Brockton. Tutorials and Instructions are available at www.Projectdog.com. For assistance, contact
Projectdog Inc. at 978-499-9014. Any bids received after 11:00 AM, March 12, 2026, shall be rejected.
Bidders and the public may view bid results, as well as inspect bid documents via the Projectdog website
or attend the in-person bid opening in the GAR Room, Second Floor, City Hall, 45 School Street,
Brockton, MA 02301.
The work of this contract includes, but is not limited to, new 20-inch water mains and appurtenances to
replace existing water mains within Montello Street between Lawerence Street and Crescent Street
including furnishing and installing new water service connections, fittings, valves, hydrants, connections
to the existing water system, temporary water, all earthwork, dewatering and drainage, pavement
replacement, wheelchair ramps, restoration, utility crossing, traffic management, miscellaneous work and
cleanup, and all work required in the Contract Documents.
The Contract Time shall be 150 Calendar Days, excluding final paving, commencing twenty days
following the Effective Date of the Agreement. Winter shutdown shall be enforced between Thanksgiving
(November 26, 2026) and March 31, 2027, unless approved by Owner.
Bid Forms and Contract Documents are available online at www.Projectdog.com after 1:00 PM on
February 19, 2026. Enter the Project Code 872695 in the project locator box and select “Acquire
Documents” to download documents. Alternatively, a free CD-ROM may be requested by contacting
Projectdog – shipping & handling charges apply. All plan holders must have an active online account on
www.Projectdog.com to acquire documents, receive project notifications, and to submit bids
electronically. Documents may also be viewed, but not removed, from the offices of Projectdog Inc., 18
Graf Road - Unit 8, Newburyport, MA 01950, Monday – Friday, 8:30 AM to 5:00 PM.
Addenda, if issued, will be posted to the Projectdog website and shall be accompanied by e-mail
notification to every individual or firm on record as having receiving the Bid Documents. It shall be the
sole responsibility of the Contractor to ascertain the existence of any and all addenda.
Each Bid shall be submitted in accordance with the Instructions to Bidders and shall be accompanied by a
Bid Security in the amount of five percent of the Bid.
Bidders may not withdraw their Bids for a period of thirty days, excluding Saturdays, Sundays, and legal
holidays, after the actual date of the opening of the Bids.
The Successful Bidder must furnish a 100 percent Performance Bond and a 100 percent Payment Bond
with a surety company acceptable to the Owner.

Wage rates for this Project are subject to the minimum wage rates as per M.G.L., Chapter 149, Section 26
to 27H inclusive.
The bidding and award of this Contract will be under the provisions of M.G.L. Chapter 30, Section 39M.
Award of this contract will be contingent on the City’s needs, appropriation, and availability of funds.
The Owner reserves the right to waive any informality in or to reject any or all Bids if deemed to be in its
best interest.
