Monarch Park East Agricultural Lease

A pre-proposal information meeting is scheduled for Monday, June 2nd at 9:00 a.m. Interested parties are to meet at the Boulder County Parks and Open Space Building (5201 St. Vrain Road, Longmont, CO 80503).

A pre-proposal site visit is scheduled for Monday, June 2nd at 11:00 a.m. Interested Parties are asked to meet at the Monarch Park East Open Space located at Niwot, CO 80503 (SE ¼, section 36, T2N, R70W). The main access to the property is located on the west side of 79th street.

Boulder County Parks & Open Space (BCPOS), Agricultural Resources Division, is seeking proposals from qualified parties to lease approximately 32 acres of the Monarch Park East Agricultural Open Space property. The Monarch Park East Agricultural Open Space property is located on the northwest corner of State Highway 52 and North 79th Street in Niwot, Colorado (SE ¼, section 36, T2N, R70W). The main access point of the property is located on the west side of 79th Street. This property is not intended to be year-round pasture for livestock and is better suited for prescribed or relief grazing. Areas of the property are extremely eroded and will require the new leaseholder to cooperate with county staff in determining appropriate grazing management and irrigation. The fencing on the property is in overall fair condition with some sections needing to be replaced.
