PURPOSE: The purpose of the sources sought is to identify available authorized businesses to provide a brand name or equal requirement. The government is looking to procure the MVB3X Modular Vehicle Barrier System or that meets the following requirements:
- Must be US Department of Homeland Security Safety Act Designated
- Barrier system must be certified to ASTM-F2656-15
- Barrier system must be certified to ASTM/PAS 68 & IWA standards
- Must be modular and adaptable to any road width
- Must be able to cover multiple traffic lanes of continuous coverage and be assembled without the use of cables or ball/hitch connections. Cables cannot be used in a modular vehicle barrier perimeter
- Barriers must be Safety Yellow in color for maximum visibility
- Open and close a lane in less than 10 seconds
- One person to assemble, deploy, and dismantle
- Quick perimeter access in case of an emergency
- No tools required for assembly
- Zero maintenance
- Each unit must fold for easy carrying and storage
This sources sought notice is for informational and planning purposes only. Pricing information is not being requested at this time. It does not constitute a solicitation and is not to be considered as a commitment by the Government.
ANTICIPATED NAICS/SIZE STANDARD: This requirement is anticipated to fall under the NAICS Code of 332999, with a size standard of 750 employees.
SUBMISSION OF INFORMATION: All firms responding to this sources sought notice are advised that their response to this notice is not a request that will be considered for contract award. All interested parties will be required to respond to the resultant solicitation separately from their response to this sources sought notice. A responsible potential sources shall have registered with the System for Award Management (SAM). The response should be no more than three pages providing the following information:
- Specifications of the MVB3X Modular Vehicle Barrier System
- Business name, address, CAGE code
- Size and socioeconomic classification based on NAICS size standard
- If claiming a specific small business category, provide supporting documentation
- Point of contact including email and phone number
