This is a Sources Sought Notice to determine the availability and capability of small and large businesses to meet the Government’s requirement for a design/build modernization of the return basin and procurement and installation of turbine pumps at Arnold Engineering Development Complex (AEDC), Arnold AFB, TN. See Rebuild Return Basin Structure Draft Statement of Objectives (SOO) and associated attachments for details.
The anticipated North American Industry Classification System Code (NAICS) for this requirement is 237990, Other Heavy and Civil Engineering Construction with a small business size standard of $45M. The Product/Service Code (PSC) for this requirement is TBD.
Important Notes:
1. Installation must take place during an outage currently scheduled for April 2027 through October 2027.
2. The Government may choose to meet this requirement by utilizing the 10 USC 4022 Authority of the Department of Defense to carry out certain prototype projects.This could include up to two awards for a business process prototype in addition to a conceptual design for the prototype phase.
