Description

SUBJECT: The United States Department of Agriculture (USDA), Agricultural Research Service (ARS) has a requirement - Modernize Building 1 Elevators– USDA, ARS, Athens, Georgia.



PROPOSED SOLICITATION NUMBER: 1232SA25R0068

DESCRIPTION: The contractor shall provide all professional services necessary to modernize the four car, 10 stop, gearless traction elevator system serving the USNPRC Building 1 tower. This includes but is not limited to Electrical, Fire Alarm, and HVAC. The contractor shall include all services and field labor, equipment (including cranes, rigging and material handling equipment), materials, testing and personal protective equipment necessary to perform the work. Complete statement of work will be provided with the solicitation.



MAGNITUDE OF CONSTRUCTION: The project magnitude is between $1,000,000 and $5,000,000.



SOLICITATION PERIOD: A solicitation is scheduled to release on or about August 18, 2025. Proposals will be due on or about September 19, 2025.



The acquisition will be issued as a Total Small Business Set-Aside, Request for Proposal (1232SA25R0068) using the Contract Opportunities on the sam.gov website. The NAICS code for this procurement is 333921; Small Business Size Standard is 1,000. Product Service Code (PSC) is Y1JZ. A Bid Guarantee, Performance Bond, and Payment Bond will be required.



It is anticipated that the award will result in a single award firm-fixed price contract.

Site visits are tentatively scheduled for September 3, 2025, at 10:00 ET. Additional details, including how to register for the site visit, will be provided in the solicitation.



The anticipated period of performance will be 240 calendar days from Notice to Proceed.
