Project Description: Support of MSD’s calibration program through optimization approaches. MSDGC is continuing to develop and investigate new approaches to model calibration optimization using parameter grouping and the power of cloud computing to facilitate optimization of the fit of SWMM model data to observed flow monitoring data. The Consultant will review and implement approaches, tools and guidelines in actual project calibrations to prepare an array of alternatives, evaluate them against a selected goodness-of-fit metric, and move towards an optimized solution. Parameter grouping is an essential component of the optimization strategy.
