MNbenefits online application – Intercom, Inc.

The Department of Minnesota IT Services (MNIT) on behalf of Department of Children, Youth, and Family (DCYF) intend to renew for up to 2-years/24 months their cloud services with Intercom, Inc for continued, uninterrupted access to DHS’ MNbenefits online application. The online application enables users to engage in real-time communication with authorized representatives, supporting the submission of more accurate and complete public assistance benefit applications. This functionality is not a standalone procurement. The State of Minnesota obtained MNbenefits as an integrated solution that includes multiple embedded tools and software components. Intercom is a pre‑existing, embedded element of MNbenefits’ technical architecture and cannot be removed or substituted without incurring substantial cost, significant technical effort, and considerable disruption to services provided to applicants and the public. Intercom, Inc. represents itself as the sole owner and retains all rights to patents, copyrights, trademarks, trade secrets and other intellectual property. The State believes these serves are not available through third party entities and has deemed this renewal a sole source.
