MIC susceptibility Streptococcus panels – Remel

The Minnesota Department of Health (MDH) intends to enter an agreement for the purchase of custom dried minimum inhibitory concentration (MIC) susceptibility Streptococcus panels with Remel. The (MIC) susceptibility Streptococcus panels are needed to fulfill the responsibilities set forth for the MDH Public Health Laboratory in the cooperative agreement with Centers of Disease Control and Prevention (CDC).

This purchase has been deemed a single source as Remel is the sole proprietor of the (MIC) susceptibility Streptococcus panels. These custom produced panels are the only panels which can be used to perform the testing to the specifications required, and are also the only panels that have been validated (per Federal regulations) by our laboratory for use with the Remel/TREK Sensititre System.
