261 Miami Street - Carpentry Work RFP - South Suburban Trades Initiative

INVITATION FOR BIDS

The Village of Park Forest will receive bids for general carpentry work at one Village property: 261 Miami Street, A detailed scope-of-work is attached as Exhibit 1.

A bid must be submitted no later than 5:00 pm on Friday, December 5,

2025.

Funding for this initiative comes from a grant awarded by the Illinois Housing Development Authority (IHDA), which mandates the payment of prevailing wages to all workers involved. Information on current prevailing wage rates can be found on the Illinois Department of Labor’s website (https://labor.illinois.gov/search-results.html?q=prevailing+rates&contentType=everything) .

Positions likely to be covered include laborers, operators, and truck drivers. Successful contractors will be required to submit certified payroll documentation.

The Village reserves the right to reject any or all Bids or to waive any informality in the bidding.

Bids may be held by the Village for a period not to exceed 20 days from the date

of the opening of Bids for the purpose of reviewing the Bids and investigating the qualifications of Bidders, prior to awarding of the Contract.

A firm, fixed-price Contract will be made in writing to the lowest responsive and responsible Bidder(s).
