Project Description: Project consists of restoring approximately 1500 feet of the Merced River channel to improve habitat for spawning and rearing salmon. The restoration will rehabilitate salmonid spawning and incubation habitat and will reconnect off channel rearing habitat for juvenile salmonids. This section of river is directly upstream from Henderson Park and about 1.5 miles east of the town of Snelling in Merced County. Budget: $1,509,000.00. Public Works Project. Prevailing Wage Laws Apply.
Milestone: All in-river work will be limited to the period of June 15, 2026 through October 15, 2026 only.
