Meewasin Trail Enhancements: Kiwanis Memorial Park Central
Synopsis:

Kiwanis Memorial Park is adjacent to downtown Saskatoon along the South Saskatchewan River.It is a mature and well used urban park. Planned trail enhancements are part of phased work through all of the downtown Meewasin Trail, being undertaken over a number of years.

The work, in general, consists of the removal of select existing asphalt paths, removal of existing site furnishings, existing light standards and bases. Installation of new asphalt, topsoil and ground cover repair, planting beds, plantings, concrete retaining wall and slabs and installation of Owner provided site furnishings, and establishment maintenance, in a highly popular riverbank park. The work shall conform to the City of Saskatoons Pedestrian and Cyclist Accommodation in Work Zones and Detours Policy. The work also occurs in areas that have know soil contamination and hazardous materials and must conform to the related specification and regulatory requirements.

Additional Information:

A Mandatory Bidder’s Meeting will be held on Tuesday April 14, 2026 at 2:00 pm at Kiwanis Memorial Park at the Centennial Fountain. To ensure consideration, bids must be accompanied by the following:
a) A bid deposit by Bid Bond for ten (10%) percent of the bid price.
b) A Consent of Surety to furnish a Contract Performance Bond and a Labour and Material Bond
each for fifty (50%) percent of the gross tender amount.
