Synopsis:
|
|
The work, in general, consists of the removal of select existing asphalt paths, removal of existing site
furnishings, existing light standards and bases. Enhancements include site grading, installation of new asphalt trail, topsoil and ground cover
repair, planting beds, plantings, concrete retaining wall, curb and slabs and installation of Owner provided
site furnishings, and establishment maintenance, in a highly popular riverbank park. The work shall
conform to the City of Saskatoons Pedestrian and Cyclist Accommodation in Work Zones and Detours
Policy. The work also occurs in areas that have know soil contamination and hazardous materials and
must conform to the related specification and regulatory requirements.

The work will conform to ‘City of Saskatoon Standard Construction Specifications: Parks’, and ‘City of Saskatoon Standard Construction Specifications & Drawings’ for infrastructure, as well as drawings and specifications issued with the tender package.
The project is one phase of trail enhancements planned or completed in Kiwanis Memorial Park in Saskatoon's downtown, being undertaken by the Meewasin Valley Authority.
There will be a mandatory bidder’s meeting – Tuesday, March 18, 2026 at 2:00 pm at Kiwanis Memorial Park under the University Bridge.
