Medical District Zone Conversion (C1515)

Las Vegas Valley Water District invites qualified firms (Bidders) to submit Bids for the following Work, see Contract Documents for full details:

The Site of Work is located in the City of Las Vegas jurisdiction, in the vicinity of Charleston Boulevard, between Rancho Drive and Shadow Lane. Residential PRVs are located at separate sites in unincorporated areas of Clark County, Nevada. See drawings for site location and layout. The work sites are at existing District water services and are generally located within District easements on private property immediately adjacent to public right of way. The pipe replacements are to be performed within the existing Right of Way and proposed PRVs will be located near the
intersection of: Oakey Blvd. & Westwood Dr. and Shadow Ln. & Ellis Ave.

The Work consists of improvements at multiple locations intended to modify pressure zones in the vicinity of Charleston Boulevard, between Rancho Drive and Shadow Lane. The project will replace existing pipelines at various locations, install PRVs and abandon PRV #118, to facilitate
the pressure zone conversion. Existing 6” ACP pipes will be abandoned, and 6’’ and 8’’ diameter PVC pipes will be installed. Large service laterals, fire hydrants, laterals, and outlets lead from branch outlets will be replaced, if constructed with ACP pipe. The scope of work also covers
installation of zone ties, pavement replacement, and electrical.

Once the new pipelines are in place, two 6-inch by 3-inch PRVs will be installed and the existing PRV #118 will be abandoned.

Engineer's estimate: $4,558,070.91
