Performs varied tasks in the maintenance and repair of diesel engines in motor vehicles and/or automotive construction equipment; does other related work as required.

It is a full time position.  The starting salary is $53,000.

Requirements:

License

Appointees will be required to possess a driver’s license valid in New Jersey.

Appointees may be required to possess a valid Commercial Driver’s License (CDL) and applicable endorsements for the class and type of vehicle being operated.

Training

Successful completion of one (1) year of training in diesel engine repair at an accredited community college or vocational school.

Experience

Two (2) years of experience in the installation, maintenance and repair of diesel engines.

Note:

Applicants who do not possess the required year of formal training may substitute on (1) additional year of experience as noted above.
