MEADOWCREEK GOLF COURSE IRRIGATION PROJECT

The City of Charlottesville is requesting bids for IFB 26-07 for Meadowcreek Golf Course Irrigation System.

Project Description:
The successful bidder will provide, as a Base Bid, a complete irrigation system for all eighteen (18) holes, including irrigation for the putting practice green, chipping practice green, and practice range tee; a new central control system, decoders, and associated surge protection and wiring; and sprinklers, quick couplers, valves, and associated pipe network. The City of Charlottesville owns and operates Meadowcreek Golf Course, an 18-hole golf course located within the City. Established in 1974, the 155 acre course was initially designed by the late and noted golf course architect Raymond F. Loving, a Fellow in the American Society of Golf Course Architects.

This project is to replace the existing irrigation system with a new system.

Like most courses, this lovely course requires irrigation. The existing irrigation system includes four (4) storage ponds and can draw from the adjacent Rivanna River, if necessary. However, the irrigation system has passed its useful life. As such, the City of Charlottesville is soliciting bids to replace the irrigation system with a new system. The new system will be a complete irrigation system for all eighteen (18) holes, plus: irrigation for the putting practice green, chipping practice green, and practice range tee; a new central control system, decoders, and associated surge protection and wiring; sprinklers, quick couplers, valves, and associated pipe network.
