The Marine Design Center (MDC) of the U.S. Army Corp of Engineers (USACE) intends to initiate an Invitation for Bid (IFB) for the procurement of four (4) revetment barges. The barges’ primary mission will be to augment the Vicksburg District’s existing fleet of revetment barges that support the Mat Sinking Unit.
The principal dimensions of each barge shall be as follows:
- Length (Molded) 160’-0”
- Beam (Molded) 36’-0”
- Depth (Molded at Centerline) 11’-0”
- Bow Raked
- Stern Raked
- Sheer Forward 10’ and aft 10’
- Camber None
The Contractor shall deliver each vessel afloat and ready for service at the following location:
U.S. Army Corps of Engineers
U.S. Army Engineer District, Vicksburg
4155 Clay Street
Vicksburg, MS 39180
There will be liquidated damages associated with this procurement.
Bid guarantee, payment, and performance bonding will be required.
The Invitation for Bid (IFB) Number W912BU-24-B-A004 is intended to be available on or about 20 March 2025. Hard copies will not be available. No written or fax requests will be accepted. Contractors may download the solicitation (including any attachments) and any amendments via the hyperlink to the Sam.Gov website at, www.sam.gov, on (or after) the issue date. It is the offeror’s responsibility to monitor the website in order to access/download the solicitation documents (including all amendments). NAICS code is 336611 – Ship Building and Repair.
