The RCO MCI-West is issuing this Sources Sought (SS) as a means of conducting market research to determine if there is a sufficient number of qualified businesses interested in and capable of leasing and maintaining clothing washers and dryers. These services will be utilized by the Marine Corps Recruit Depot (MCRD) – San Diego (SD).
Background:
MCRD – SD, is required to provided washers and dryers for the use of recruits and permanent personnel living in the Bachelor Enlisted Quarters (BEQ) aboard MCRD-SD. 5,000 Marine Recruits will use these appliances. Approximately 192 appliances will be required to support personnel on various floors of 12 different buildings aboard the installation. These buildings do not have elevators so all appliances must be delivered and serviced using stairs. Historically, there have been approximately 10 service calls per week. The Government end users are responsible for identifying when equipment is unserviceable. Once the contractor is notified of unserviceable equipment the Contractor has 48 hours, 72 hours if a weekend or Federal holiday is involved, to repair the equipment.
