Materials License of Meridian Road and/or Kenworthy Road Pit Sites for Commercial Use

The Town of Queen Creek desires to enter into materials license agreements with one or more companies to operate material handling operations, for purposes of removal of materials and to assist in the clean-up and fill of two pit sites.

The Meridian Pit Site: This site is located within the Town of Queen Creek, on west side of Meridian Road immediately south of the Queen Creek Wash within Maricopa County. The site is approximately 54 acres. After aggregate mining, this site has been used for the dumping of materials. The dumped materials include dirt, concrete, asphalt, rock and other materials including vegetation and trash.
The Kenworthy Pit Site: This site is located outside of the Town of Queen Creek, on the East side of Kenworthy Road, approximately ½ mile north of Combs Road within Pinal County. The site is approximately 51 acres. The site was used as a concrete production facility until mid-2020 and is currently vacant with no dumping having occurred to date.
