Materials for Reflective License Plates, Thermal (Digital) Transfer Process

It is the intent of the New York State Department of Corrections and Community Supervision, Division of Industries, Corcraft to purchase materials, excluding the base material (aluminum) for the manufacture reflectorized license plates using a thermal transfer process. These materials include:

1. Non-exposed Lens Retroreflective License Plate Sheeting with "pre-clear" coating
2. Clear protective laminate film with pressure sensitive adhesive Integral warranty/security mark

Retroreflective sheeting will be applied per manufacturer's recommendations. Supplied materials shall be compatible with existing Auburn Correctional Facility Thermal Transfer equipment, which includes agency-owned two (2) Matan Thermal Transfer printers. Additionally, retroreflective sheeting shall be compatible with New York State's current substrate.

For each item offered, Bidders may be asked to submit samples to be tested for contract award. Please refer to IFB #PA25016's "Samples" clause on page 36 for additional information.
