Description

AFSC/PZIOA, on behalf of the 76 CMXG, intends to issue a sole source award to Phillips Federal Division for a MasterCAM on Athena. MasterCAM provides a comprehensive CAD/CAM solution for diverse machining needs, offering powerful tool paths and simulation to optimize efficiency and reduce errors. Its versatility, industry-leading features, and strong support network make it a valuable investment for complex manufacturing challenges. MasterCAM is actively used in DoD training program, aerospace/defense manufacturing, and procurement contracts. It is embedded in both education pipelines and production workflows for defense parts, and is procured directly by DoD agencies, confirming its significant role in U.S. defense manufacturing. In MasterCAM, "React" is a feature used in the Athena module (part of MasterCAM's CAM automation and workflow tools) to automatically respond to changes in the machining process by adjusting operations, geometries, or toolpaths without manual re-programming. MasterCAM is actively used in DoD training programs, aerospace/defense manufacturing, and procurement contracts. It is embedded in both educational pipelines (like Watervliet Arsenal) and production workflows for defense parts, and is procured directly by DoD agencies, confirming its significant role in U.S. defense manufacturing.
