The U.S. Coast Guard Surface Forces Logistics Center intends on awarding a Firm-Fixed Price requirements contract to purchase new marine doors used to support the 154’ WPC Coast Guard Cutter.
The Bollinger/Chand marine doors listed in this requirement are commercial items, comprised of multiple interrelated parts, designed, and manufactured by Bollinger Shipyards, LLC. The marine doors listed in this requirement are critical to the operation of the 154’ WPC vessels during the completion of their missions. The marine doors keep sea water from entering the vessel through the exterior watertight bulkheads and interior watertight bulkheads between spaces below the waterline. In normal vessel operations the marine doors allow the crew the ability to complete their duties while maintaining watertight integrity. During emergency situations the marine doors prevent fire, smoke, flooding, hazardous chemicals, or other hazards from spreading throughout the vessel while the crew remedy the situation. To ensure proper form, fit and function of the marine doors, only OEM manufactured marine doors shall be used. Items submitted under this solicitation which are other than OEM marine doors will be rejected as unacceptable.
