Project: Maple Street Park Contract ED 2026-11
NOTICE TO BIDDERS
The City of Marlborough ("City"), the Awarding Authority, invites electronic sealed bids from
contractors for Contract No. ED 2026-11, Maple Street Park for the Department of Public Works-
Engineering Division in accordance with the documents prepared by Highpoint Engineering, Inc. The
project consists of furnishing all labor, equipment, tools, supervision, and incidental materials necessary
to complete the proposed site improvements in accordance with the construction plans and Contract
Documents. The work shall include, but not be limited to, site demolition and preparation; relocation of
the existing monument; installation of granite curbing and concrete pavers; construction of the cast-in-
place concrete wall; installation of decorative bollards; installation of irrigation; tree planting; landscape
edging; mulching; final grading; and restoration of all areas disturbed by construction activities. The
Contractor shall provide all excavation, subgrade preparation, foundations, bedding, backfilling,
connections, testing, adjustment, and other incidental work necessary to provide complete and functional
installations. Materials specifically identified on the construction plans as City-furnished materials shall
be provided by the City, with the Contractor responsible for coordinating, handling, protecting, installing,
and incorporating such materials into the completed work. The Contractor shall also be responsible for
protecting existing utilities and improvements to remain, removing and properly disposing of construction
debris, and leaving the site in a clean, safe, and fully restored condition upon completion. The estimated
project cost is approximately $123,000.00. Bids are subject to M.G.L., c. 30, 39M, and to minimum
wage rates as required by M.G.L c.149, 26 through 27H inclusive. Bid Forms and Contract
Documents will be available electronically at no cost on Projectdoc.com under Project ID # 261650,
beginning August 26, 2026 at 9:00 AM. Questions concerning the bid documents must be submitting in
writing via email to Attn: Mark Dascoli at mdascoli@marlborough-ma.gov no later than 3 business days
prior to the scheduled bid opening. All questions and answers shall be distributed as an addendum to all
on record as having received the bid documents. Bidders are strongly encouraged to attend a non-
mandatory Pre-Bid Conference to be held at 9:00 AM on Thursday, September 3, 2026 at Maple
Street Park, 413 Maple Street-Marlborough, MA 01752. This project is being electronically bid. All bids
must be prepared and submitted online through Projectdoc.com. Hard copy bids will not be accepted by
the Awarding Authority. Electronic Sealed Bids will be received until 9:00 AM on September 11,
2026. For assistance, contact Projectdog, Inc. at (978) 499-9014. Bid Security shall be at least five percent
(5%) of the greatest possible bid amount, considering all alternates.
In accordance with the provisions of applicable statutes, laws, rules, regulations, and ordinances, the City

The City reserves the right to cancel this procurement process, or reject in whole or in part any and all
bids, if the City determines that cancellation or rejection serves the best interests of the public to do so.
This legal notice shall also be posted by the MetroWest Daily News on the Massachusetts Newspaper
Publishers Association's (MNPA) website (masspublicnotices.org).
