ITEM #2
QUESTIONS/ANSWERS
Q1: Have the pipeline corridors been thoroughly surveyed? Do they require additional survey prior to use?
A1: Detailed geophysical surveys and cultural resources analysis were completed of the Pipeline and Conveyance Corridors.
The reports are posted on Coastal Engineering Consultants, Inc. (CEC) OneDrive which are available for download as
explained on page 3 of the Bid Documents.
Q2: Are the volumes on page 39 of the specifications calculated to the maximum allowable dredge removal depth?
A2: The volumes presented on page 39 of the specifications are calculated to the permitted limits of dredging as shown on
the Contract Plans and in the Permits.
Q3: The contract allows 165 days for substantial completion. When do you expect to issue NTP?
A3: Although we cannot predict exactly when the NTP will be provided, the County’s goal is to award at a Board of County
Commissioners meeting in October and issue a Notice to Proceed in November.
Q4: Is screening required on the beach when using a cutterhead dredge?
A4: Screening is not required on the beach when using a cutterhead dredge.
Q5: Is there more information on additional sand sources?
A5: These are being looked into and will be detailed in a future addendum.
Q6: Do surveys need to be redone on the borrow areas?
