| The intent of this Invitation for Bid (IFB) is to obtain a qualified contractor to provide regularly scheduled preventative maintenance, as well as repair services, on an as needed basis for transit buses owned and operated by the Suffolk Public Transit Division of the Department of Public Works. The City of Suffolk Department of Public Works, known as Suffolk Transit (ST), provides public transit services and paratransit services for its citizens. The City owns the buses but utilizes a service contractor as the service provider for operations. The service contractor provides operational staff and support for the system and works closely with City staff to provide the best transit service possible. Suffolk Transit logged over 416,497 miles for Fiscal Year 2022. It is estimated that the City of Suffolk spent $113,927.00 in Fiscal Year 2022. | |||
