All Bids shall follow the City of Big Rapids requirements of a sealed bid, placed within a sealed envelope submitted to the City of Big Rapids Treasury Department on Monday March 9, 2026 @ 3:00 PM. It is the intent of the City to award the contract to the lowest and most qualified bidder whose price and qualifications cause its bid to be considered the best and most responsive bid. The City reserves the right to reject all bids, to waive minor irregularities, or take such other actions regarding acceptance or rejection of bids and bid alternates as it deems, in its sole discretion, will serve the public interest.

NOTICE TO BIDDERS

MAINTENANCE MATERIALS/SERVICES

The City of Big Rapids will accept sealed bids for MAINTENANCE MATERIALS/SERVICES until

3:00 PM local time, Monday March 9, 2026, in the Office of the City Treasurer, 226 North

Michigan Avenue, Big Rapids, MI 49307.

Specifications may be obtained at the Office of the Department of Public Works or the City

website at www.cityofbr.org .

All proposals shall be clearly marked "BID FOR MAINTENANCE MATERIALS/SERVICES". The

City of Big Rapids reserves the right to accept or reject all or any bids or to waive informalities,

and to award the bid in any manner deemed to be in the best interest of the City.

All questions must be submitted in writing which can be sent to mgifford@cityofbr.org. Questions

must be submitted 48 hours prior to bid opening. All questions and answers will be sent to all

interested parties and posted on the City of Big Rapids website and any other advertising

websites.

Award will only be to a responsive and responsible firm whose bid conforms to all the material

terms and conditions of the bid. All bid prices must remain valid for 60 days past the submission

deadline.
