Emanuel County Schools is soliciting sealed bids for the purchase of one (1) new compact
hydraulic mini excavator for use by the Maintenance Department. Funding for this purchase
may be from ESPLOST or FY26 maintenance fund equipment allocations.
Equipment shall be new, unused, and a current or prior year production model. Used equipment
will not be considered.
The mini excavator will be used for school system maintenance including trenching, drainage
repairs, utility work, light grading, and general construction support.

Equipment shall be delivered FOB:

Delivery shall include all freight and setup charges.
The manufacturer must have an authorized service dealer located within approximately 100
miles of Swainsboro, Georgia.
Emanuel County Schools reserves the right to accept or reject any and all bids and to award the
bid in the best interest of the school system.
Machine Specifications
The compact hydraulic mini excavator shall meet or exceed the following minimum
specifications:
Size Classification
Machine shall be in the 3-4 ton compact excavator class suitable for school maintenance
operations.
Operating Weight
Minimum: 7,500 lbs
Maximum: 10,000 lbs
Engine
Diesel engine
Minimum 20 horsepower
EPA compliant
Performance
Minimum digging depth: 9 feet
Two-speed travel required
Auxiliary hydraulics required
Zero tail swing or minimal tail swing preferred
Undercarriage Requirements

Stable undercarriage design suitable for operation on school grounds and paved areas
Operator Station
Machine shall include:
Fully enclosed cab
Factory-installed heat and air conditioning
Adjustable suspension seat

ROPS/FOPS certified operator protection

Exterior work lights
Hydraulic Equipment (Required)
Machine shall be equipped at time of delivery with:
Hydraulic Thumb
Factory or dealer-installed hydraulic thumb
Fully compatible with machine hydraulics
Quick Coupler
Hydraulic or mechanical quick coupler
Compatible with supplied buckets
Auxiliary Hydraulics
Auxiliary hydraulic lines installed to boom
Controls located at operator station
Hydraulic thumb and quick coupler are required components and shall be included in the base
bid price.

Buckets and Attachments
Machine shall include at minimum:
One trench bucket approximately 12-18 inches wide
Equivalent bucket sizes acceptable.
Bucket shall be compatible with supplied quick coupler.
Warranty Requirements
Minimum warranty:
Minimum 24 months and/or minimum 2,000 hours machine warranty, whichever occurs
first.

Delivery and Training
Vendor shall provide:
