Notice of Intent: MAINTENANCE AGREEMENT CYTEK AURORA 5 LASER FLOW CYTOMETER
(75N98026Q00980)
The National Institutes of Health intends to award a Firm-Fixed-Price Purchase Order to Cytek Biosciences.
In accordance with FAR Part 6.302-1, Cytek Biosciences is the only responsible source capable of providing the required preventive maintenance and repair services for the Cytek Aurora 5-Laser Flow Cytometer.
Cytek Biosciences maintains exclusive access to the proprietary replacement parts, firmware, software, diagnostic tools, calibration procedures, and engineering documentation required to maintain and repair the instrument. These proprietary resources are not available to third-party service providers.
In addition, the calibration, alignment, and repair of the Aurora's complex optical, laser, detector, and fluidics systems require factory-trained and OEM-authorized service engineers. Preventive maintenance and repairs performed by personnel who are not authorized by the manufacturer could result in improper calibration, degraded instrument performance, inaccurate analytical results, and increased instrument downtime.
Only Cytek Biosciences can provide OEM-certified replacement parts, validated service procedures, proprietary software and firmware updates, and manufacturer-authorized engineering support necessary to maintain the instrument in accordance with the manufacturer's original performance specifications. Use of non-OEM service providers may also affect the manufacturer's service support and limit access to future technical assistance.
This notice is not a request for competitive quotes. Cytek Biosciences is the provider of this service. However, any available small businesses (e.g., 8(a), service-disabled veteran owned small business, HUBZone small business, small disadvantaged business, veteran-owned small business, and women-owned small business) as stated herein may submit a written capability statement that clearly supports and demonstrates their ability to perform the requirement. A determination by the Government to compete this proposed award based upon responses to this notice is solely within the discretion of the Government.
It is anticipated that an award will be issued approximately five (5) days after the date of this notice unless the Government determines that another vendor has the capability to meet this requirement.
