APEX Accelerators are an official government contracting resource for small businesses. Find your local APEX Accelerator (opens in new window) for free government expertise related to contract opportunities.
APEX Accelerators are funded in part through a cooperative agreement with the Department of Defense.
The APEX Accelerators program was formerly known as the Procurement Technical Assistance Program (opens in new window) (PTAP).
The chosen contractor shall provide complete construction services including
labor, materials, equipment, and supervision required to complete the “Maintain Parking Garage Safety”
project for the Cincinnati VAMC. The fulfillment of this project will help to meet safety requirements and
remedy weather damage to the facility’s parking garage. This project will also provide a survey of the
existing conditions of concrete and other structural elements for the full garage. The “Maintain Parking
Garage Safety” project will replace waterproofing joint sealants throughout the garage, as well as
remove and patch concrete at the joints between slabs where water intrusion has caused damage. This
work is to be performed over weekends to avoid conflicts with VA operations. The contractor will also
procure and coordinate with a firm, THP LTD, qualified to perform consulting service regarding structural
condition of the garage, including review of floors, soffits, perimeter walls, façade, stair tower, and other
elements to note any deterioration, water damage, as well as any structural and waterproofing
conditions required for remedy. This review will also include sounding surveys and chloride ion testing
of each floor. Chosen contractor will comply with general industry standards for concrete condition
assessment of parking structures.
