Bid Type: Job Contract Locations: Chittenden Keywords: Construction (Non Building), Parks and Recreation Bid Description: RECEIPT OF BIDS: Sealed bids on forms prepared by the Engineer will be received by the City of Essex Junction at the City of Essex Junction offices, located at 2 Lincoln Street in Essex Junction, Vermont, until 2:00 p.m. (local time) on July 24, 2026 for the Main Street Park Project. The contract generally includes the following work items at the intersection of Main Street and Maple Street in the City of Essex Junction: 1)Fabricate and Install 17 Custom wood and Metal Decorative Screens 2)Install Benches and Planters supplied by the City 3)Supply and Install 2 Sunshade Assemblies 4)Supply and Install 5 Bicycle Racks 5)Mill 1250 square feet of existing pavement 6)Excavate and dispose of approximately 42 cubic yards of soil 7)Supply and Install 8 Sunshade foundations 8)Supply and Install 2 Sign foundations 9)Install 8 Solar Lights supplied by the City 10)Form and Install 84 feet of Cast in Place Concrete Curb 11)Cut 170 feet of Existing Pavement 12)Fabricate and Install Aluminum and Steel Sign Assembly 13)Supply and Install 355 square feet of Pavement Striping 14)Supply and Install 86 Tons of Bituminous Concrete Pavement, Shim and Wearing Course All work will be in accordance with Drawings, Specifications and other Contract Documents and information prepared by the City of Essex Junction, 2 Lincoln Street, Essex Junction, Vermont. OBTAINING CONTRACT DOCUMENTS: Digital Drawings, Specifications, and other Contract Documents may be accessed by emailing Richard F. Hamlin, P.E., Chief of Engineering, Donald L. Hamlin Consulting Engineers, Inc. at rhamlin@dlhce.com. Prospective bidders will be added to the Plan Holder List and will be provided with access to a digital Sharepoint site. All Drawings, Specifications, Contract Documents, Addendums, and other relevant project information will be available on the Sharepoint site free of charge. It is the responsibility of the Prospective Bidder to review relevant project information located on the Sharepoint site. Prospective Bidders must be on the Plan Holder List to receive access to the Sharepoint site and be eligible to submit a bid. BIDS WILL BE PUBLICLY OPENED AND READ AT 2:00 p.m. (local time) on July 24, 2026 in the first-floor meeting room at the City of Essex Junction offices located at 2 Lincoln Street in Essex Junction, Vermont 05452. Separate bids will be accepted for the following segments of work: -Site Work -Sun Shades -Sign -Custom Wood and Metal Decorative Screens CONTRACT TIME: If awarded the Contract, the Contractor agrees to complete the work in its entirety, as shown on the Contract Plans. The anticipated contract start date for the project is August 21, 2026 and all work shall be completed on or before April 15, 2027.
