Summary

The Project includes, without limitation, furnishing all necessary labor, materials, equipment and other incidental and appurtenant Work necessary to satisfactorily complete the Project, as more specifically described in specifications. This Work will be performed in strict conformance with the specifications, permits from regulatory agencies with jurisdiction, and applicable regulations. The quantity of Work to be performed and materials to be furnished are approximations only, being given as a basis for the comparison of Bids. Actual quantities of Work to be performed may vary at the discretion of the County.



Background

This project replaces the existing walk-in refrigeration system for the County Main Jail at 651 I Street. The new system will serve the existing refrigerated and freezer walk-in rooms serving the facility kitchen in the basement. The project includes new compressorized cooling units, a combination of reused and new refrigerant piping, new evaporator head units in the walk-ins, new insulated cold storage doors and accessory walk-in refurbishments, a new roof-mounted fluid cooler, and temporary walk-in facilities during the construction period. Surety 2000), a certified or cashier's check, or cash.
o The contractor must have acknowledged all addenda AND applicable Bid

o The Contractor is responsible for verifying the license numbers for the General
and all Sub-Contractors are accurate, active, and placed on the County bid
form(s).
o The Contractor is responsible for verifying the Department of Industrial Relations
numbers (DIR#) for the General and all Sub-Contractors are accurate, active,
and placed on the County bid form(s).
o Escrow Bid documents are required from the three lowest responsible bidders and
must be submitted to Dept. of General Services, 9660 Ecology Lane, Sacramento,
CA 95827 before 4:00pm on the Monday after the bids are due.
o Bidders must electronically submit their bid online no later than 2:00 pm on the
day of the bid on OpenGov.
o Bids will be publicly opened by electronically unsealing the Bids on the Agency's
eProcurement system website as indicated in the Notice to Bidders or a
subsequent Addendum. Bidders and the public can view Bids received on the
Agency's eProcurement system website after the Bid due date and time.
