SCOPE OF SERVICES
The Contractor shall provide on-call weed eradication on private properties in violation of Iowa Code
Chapter 317. Work includes hand cutting, mowing, and spot herbicide spraying targeting noxious weeds
defined under Iowa Code 317.1A.
METHODS
- Hand Cutting/Brush Removal
- Mowing for seed suppression
- Spot herbicide application compliant with IDALS licensing standards (IAC 21-45.22).
REPORTING
Daily logs including parcel, GPS, method, herbicide details, weather, and timing. Weekly summary to
Weed Commissioner.
QUALIFICATIONS
Contractor must have IDALS Commercial Applicator Certification (Core + Category 6) and Company
License.
UNIT PRICES
- Hand Cutting / Brush Removal: $/hour per crew
- Mowing: $/acre or $/hour
- Spot-Spray Herbicide: $/acre treated
- Herbicide Materials: cost plus markup
- Mobilization: $ per order
PERFORMANCE STANDARDS
- 90% weed reduction within 30-45 days
- Zero off-target damage
- Accurate logs required

Work directed by County Weed Commissioner.
