On-Site Shredding Services Amphibious Vehicle Test Branch (AVTB)
MCTSSA and AVTB are located in the 31 and 21 Areas of Marine Corps Base (MCB) Camp Pendleton, CA. MCTSSA and AVTB personnel conduct unclassified and CUI work in many areas of their compounds. After the information is no longer needed, the material must be shredded to render it unreadable and beyond reconstruction before removal, per the 100 percent shred policy.
The Contractor shall perform destruction of material, to render the information contained thereon unreadable, on a regular schedule for AVTB. The Contractor shall provide three 32‑gallon locking document bins and one 18-gallon locking document bins. The bins shall be placed in six different locations aboard AVTB and will be picked up from the same locations on days of service. The combinations, or sets of keys, for all locks on bins shall be provided to the government TPOC in the event that retrieval is necessary or for operational requirements. Shredding and disposal for AVTB is required twice monthly: once between the 1st and 7th, and again between the 21st and 28th of each month. Initial shred bin drop off, at AVTB, shall occur no later than seven calendar days after the period of performance starts. Upon conclusion of the contract, all shred bins will be picked up during the last scheduled service.
The types of material to be shredded and destroyed will include, at a minimum:
- Paper – white, colored, fax, glossy, invoice, laser, ledger, window envelopes and file folders, which may include alligator clips, staples, paperclips, post it notes, tape or plastic tabs.
- Non-Paper – videotapes, CDs, DVDs, and magazines with or without inserts.
