Invitation to Bid

M.D. of Provost 2025 Highway Plow Truck Tender

The M.D. of Provost No. 52 is currently accepting tenders on one (1) of the following:
New Tandem axle plow truck ready to work. Meeting or exceeding the following specifications.

•        Highway Tractor Plow/ Sanding Truck combo
•        Day Cab (Color Oxford White Clearcoat)
•        Single high tensile frame, approximately 220”-wheel base.
•        20,000 lb. steer axle. 46,000 lb. tandem drive axle
•        Dual steering boxes
•        4.10 rear axle ratio with 4-way lockers
•        Air ride suspension
•        11R-24.5 Grip Drive Tires (Michelin XDS2 or equivalent)
•        385/65 R22.5 Steer axle tires (Bridgestone L315 or equivalent)
•        Aluminum Rims
•        Air Disc Brakes on all axles
•        Current CVIP
•        Specification Checklist: listed in Appendix A, attached.

Acceptance of tender will be contingent on immediate availability of the product, and suitability of the product to meet the M.D. requirements as per the specifications noted in the Specifications Checklist (attached as Appendix A). These factors will be weighted at 30%, with the tendered price weighted at 70%. Failure to complete checklist with submission may invalidate tender.

Tenders are to be submitted not later than 12:00 Noon on Tuesday, January 7, 2025. No faxes or emails accepted. The M.D. reserves the right to reject any or all bids submitted or any part and the lowest or any bid will not necessarily be accepted. A decision will be made on Thursday, January 9, 2025.

Commissions earned by the Rural Municipalities of Alberta from approved suppliers to that Association’s trade division will be considered when comparing prices. Please indicate if your prices include the commission. Also, please quote G.S.T. separately and quote freight F.O.B. M.D. of Provost.
