The Centers for Disease Control and Prevention intends to award a sole source firm fixed price purchase order to Luminex Corp., 12212 Technology Blvd. Austin, Tx 78727. (CAGE Code: 1K8M4) for brand-name supplies and reagents. The purpose of this acquisition is to purchase brand name supplies and reagents required for use with the Luminex LX200. The Luminex multiplex platform allows simultaneous detection of multiple analytes in a single sample.

This contract action is for supplies for which the Government intends to solicit and negotiate with only one source under the authority of FAR, FAR 12.603, FAR 13.106-1(b), and 41 U.S.C 3304(a)(1). All responsible sources may submit a capability statement, proposal, or quotation, which shall be considered by the agency.

This notice of intent is not a request for competitive quotations; however, all quotations/responses received by 01 May 2025 at 4:00 pm Eastern Standard Time (EST) of the issuance of this notice will be considered by the government. A determination by the government not to compete this proposed contract based upon responses to this notice is solely within the discretion of the government. Information received will normally be considered solely for the purpose of determining whether to conduct a competitive procurement.
