The U.S. Geological Survey Woods Hole Coastal & Marine has a requirement for a High-Precision Isotopic Carbon Analyzer. Which requires of methane and CO2 concentrations and stable carbon isotope ratios (¿13C) to support projects that characterize natural gas from petroleum systems and living ecosystems. The ¿Gas Analyzer¿ will be incorporated into a line of peripheral devices conceived, constructed, and validated at the USGS.

The analyzer meeting the required performance characteristics is a model G2201-i High-Precision Isotopic Carbon Analyzer manufactured by Picarro, Inc. in Santa Clara CA. The G2201-I High Precision Isotopic Carbon Analyzer and accessories needs to interface with existing equipment built, owned by scientists at the USGS Woods Hole Coastal and Marine Science Center.

The required G2201-i High Precision Isotopic Carbon Analyzer and accessories must exhibit the salient characteristics on the attached document.

All interested firms shall submit a response demonstrating their capabilities to provide the requested equipment to the primary contact below. Firms responding should indicate whether their socioeconomic status (e.g. small business, service-disabled veteran, woman/women owned, HUBZone, etc.). The Government's evaluation of the capabilities of respondents will factor into whether the forthcoming solicitation will be conducted using full and open competition or as a set-aside for small businesses or small business designation. This requirement is expected to result in the award of a firm-fixed price contract.

This acquisition is a total small business set-aside. The NAICS code is 334516. The size standard is 1,000.

Any information submitted by respondents to this sources sought synopsis is voluntary. This sources sought notice is not to be construed as a commitment by the Government, nor will the Government reimburse any costs associated with the submission of information in responses to this notice. Respondents will not individually be notified of the results of any government assessments.
